Those three square cutouts make me think they are just a standard 7 inch bulb for a single headlight car. Every auto parts store carries them. I can't swear to that, but it sure looks like it.

As for retaining the bulb, sometimes there is a second inside ring that is held down by three screws, but I don't see any holes in the perimeter for that, so maybe the trim ring itself is all that holds it in place. I would try a bulb in there and see how it fits down into those cutouts (the bulbs have 3 matching nubs that locate in those cutouts) then slip the trim ring on and see if it holds the bulb tightly in place. Is there any tag on the outside of the lights? Guide and others put a tag on most of them, but not all.

don,

i dont see anything on the outside. the guy i got them from said ford was stamped on the top. i havent found it yet, lol. i will take a ride to the auto parts store today to see what i can fit in there. plus see how i can hold it in place.

thank you for your help

Now that I look at those, they might be something like Model A lights, and what went inside were reflectors. Those would have been like shiny bowls with a receptical in the center to hold a bulb. Those bulbs were like brake light bulbs, only bigger. There might be retrofit kits available from places like Macs, or one of the Model A places, but if that is what those housings are, no bulb you can find at Autozone will fit.

I'm more and more convinced that is what you might have there.

don, i did a search on ebay for parts. when i look at model a lights they have a seperate hole for the wires to come in. my lights has the wires coming in at the bolt.

i know what your taking about with the reflectors. i seen a conversion kit on there, but i would like to know what i have and search some for better pricing.

I think I have the same lights, there is a 7" sealed unit in mine but I havent looked inside yet cause that little latch thingy at the bottom is hard to undo.I will try later tonight and see how it looks inside and let you know.

OK,I checked mine there is a big ring and a small trim ring that sandwich the sealed beam thru small holes beside the square cut outs on the rim. Maybe its an adapter you can get somewhere or its stock, yours doesnt have the holes for the screws to go thru, which makes me think that mine might have adapters added.

The inside pieces came from a Toyota,so you just need to find which toyotas had 7" sealed beams, probably the trucks, and the parts will fit right in with three small holes drilled in your housing.Yes it says made in Japan and Toyota on the inside ring, which is the part that has the tabs to adjust your beams with normally, you have to trim those of a bit to fit in the housing. Hope this helps.

can you post a picture? does it have the adjustment ring, outer ring and all little stuff, stuffed in there?

Here are some pics.Only two rings three screws and sealed beam, thats all that is needed,no other parts.Like I said the bigger two tabs that aren't used need to be trimmed some for the ring to fit and be centred in the housing. Then the bulb just gets sandwiched between the rinds and housing.First the big ring inside housing then bulb on top of housing and then small trim ring over bulb. Then all thats left is to snap the big trim ring that came with the lights back on and your done.I imagine other brands of cars or trucks with 7" sealed beams would also work, since they are probably all similar.
