Thanx T Driver

I save all old chevys that come through my work place 55 and older, the ford stuff another guy clings onto... I have a passion for the bowtie [cl

Beauties I saved

The truck I kept I'm going to build it for my daughter. The sedan I sold. There have been several that were saved from the crusher..... it's so hard to shell out cash not knowing if or when you'll get it back, but to know these were not bailed up and shipped to China makes me happy.. :D

Pop a few dents, throw it on a roller chasis, and you're ready to cruise!!! Yeah, if I worked your job I'd definitly be divorced in a month!

You should start a thread with pictures of things you've 'saved from the shredder'. We love that kind of stuff. Makes me all teary eyed....

Thank you,

Thank you all very much for letting me in and making me feel welcome, I did the same as alot of others and was in two other sites and was dumped on the minute I said Rat Rod so again THANK YOU.

Preacher hello father, 26Troadster hello..

Sam Fear my wife is really good about all of it she never says a word I have other property where I keep most everything I will always find someone who wants it.
I saved a Studebaker trk awhile back also a perfect I mean perfect 53 Chevy 3 window trk there was NO rust NO dents the only thing missing was the drivers side door, we got a old 40-41 HI cab in the other day it was also missing one door but one of the yard hands jumped on her believe me we do our darnest to keep'em alive....... I'm not one of those who DONT understand what it cost to build a car it makes me mad to see those who find a real treasure and want six or eight thousand for it, not knowing it's going to take alot to make into that head turning car it should be, sometimes if I get my money back thats all I need.
Where I live they pasted a law saying you cant have more then three "JUNK" old cars on your property it goes in affect some time next year and the cars that will be showing up will be something there is only one other yard that will except cars for recycling. Here's another save the truck is being bulit now the Cadi was sold for scrap and the owner had her fixed up, three years later he drove it 30 miles home on a Thursday, took it out the following Saturday and died the following Wednesday.

A good friend from my school days came up and took her home near Tucson Az. I just cant let these cars and trucks die it really does hurt. We cant keep those we love but we sure can keep what they drove around awhile longer ??

Welcome to RRR

Gus you have found a great site for those of us who like to save old vehicles.[cl It is too bad about the laws that are starting to or have already been in effect concerning storing old vehicles. I can see it in a city residential area but come on, in a rural area. Remember when farmers kept all their old cars behind the barn. That is where we get a lot of our stuff. It's a bummer! :mad:These laws are called "nuisance laws". Old vehicles are not a nuisance to me. Keep trying to save what you can and maybe enough people will buy what you save so they won't get crushed. Again welcome and keep us posted on your projects and finds. Steve
