A week ago as I was diving into a lot of rat rod cars ,frames, parts, sites & taking in as much as possible I came across a picture of a very nice frame being built up in a home shop. It was a Z'd frame with the front rails being arched with the holes drilled out & sleeved. It was a real eye catcher of a frame. The article went on & mentioned that the builder may have been recognized for an engineering award. Maybe it was from a magazine,I don't know. Seems like it was being critiqued as having no front brakes(I think).

As it was sitting there it had a engine block sitting on it, Rear diff sitting under it, tranny may have been there.

Long story short is that I have spent several hours trying to find it again & have come up with nothing. It is a frame that I would like to build for our 39' Ford Rat.

If this rings any bells with anyone here could you please direct me back to it. Or any other pics of frames so I can gather to start on our project.

Thanks In Advance Z.Z.

Well, I think BUSTEDKNUCKLE has one of the coolest frames I've seen. http://ratrodsrule.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7230

There's another a RRR member has done with holes, but I can't think of who! :(

The photo that sneakysnake posted appears to depict chasis components from Mac's Ratz. You might want to take a look at their website. There are plenty of photos there. Visit the "chassis" and "parts" areas of the website. Mac's Ratz sells the rails in sections already drilled. Here is a link to the website. http://www.macsratz.com/index.htm

I'm pretty sure that's my frame! ;)
