Next tuesday march 18 @ 6:00pm there will be a meeting at the spokane fairgrounds with the county on the fate of Spokane Raceway Park.

If you like Drags , oval , road races and more PLEASE attend !
tell everone even if you don't race please come the more people thet show up the better..

I thought the raceway park was already set to go up on the auction block this spring.

It is, the county wanted too buy the land for a new jail and keep the track open but they decided not too build there,so they are pulling out of the bidding.
But a ton of people sent letters to the county saying too buy the track and keep it open for us racers and fans.

The meeting is on why they should buy the track and keep it open.

Looks encouraging, thanks for posting. I hope it happens, I was on the planning commitee when the place was first proposed in the late 60's. Lost intrest because of the ownership.
