SO....I ordered a full set of new brake hoses for my build. I needed 2 front hoses and 1 rear.
I got them in the other day and picked them up.
I installed the drivers side hose and all is good there. Went to install the passengers side and found it to be a different brand. The hose is smaller and much more flexible (felt cheaply made compared to the drivers side.)
They are both the same size 1/8" ID, butnim afraid the cheaper feeling hose mixed with the more solid, better built hose, will cause issues on how the brakes react. My thinking is the cheaper hose will expand under pressure more then the other.
If the different brand was on the rear, I wouldn't worry about it since 1 hose would feed both wheels.
Any thoughts on this? Am I making a mountian out of a mole hill?
I took the cheaper one back and asked if they could get me the matching Dorman brand I already have on the drivers side. He said the numbers are the same on each, which is right, after all it's the same part. He also said they would be the exact same. I pressed back by assuring that they are not, in fact, built the same.
He called the next store over and they said they had one, he then asked if they could verify the brand on the box. When they returned, they said they didn't have in
Anyways, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
