Here is the offset on the front I was talking about, both sides measured with a straight edge across the fender to the rim:

Drivers side

Passenger side

Here is a shot of the stock panhard bar:

Drivers side

Passenger side

I don't know if that is factory, or if it has been bent that way.

That is what I'm looking at. The axle is not centered for some reason. I have had the front jacked up by the wishbones to put the tires on, so I don't know if it was shifted before I did that or not. I also don't know if once it's off on the ground if it will stay this way or realign the way it's supposed to be.

What do the experts think?

The difference is about 1/2". And the strap shown on the one pic is attached to the passenger side of the spring, pulling that way, but the axle is offset the opposite direction.....

What is the measurement of the tire to the frame on each side? If it's even then you may just have a sheetmetal issue, like, one fender may be bowed out.

Edit: After looking at the pics, it may be that the panhard bar has a non-stock bend in it, that would put the axle off center. Not many of these Lincolns around to compare it with.... [S

Old thread I never updated..........

When I got the car down off the trailer and moved it a bit, everything centered back up right. I guess it was just in a bind on the trailer.

Have the same issue with my Nova but it's just a cosmetic thing IMO & would be such a PITA I just live with it! It's not something that's obvious to anyone else & who would ever know... except me!?! [S:D

It's one of those things, if I know about it, it bugs me, then I wonder if anybody else notices.
My car drives straight, so nothing is wrong with it like I thought there was. When I asked the first time, it was still on the trailer, and I think the rear was on jackstands, so everything was kinda stressed I guess, even me. :D

It looks almost like the tire is not all the way on the rim in the first pic.
You do have the same type and size tire on both rims. Right?
Is the bead of the rim the same thickness on both rims?
I'm with Trip!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, both wheels and tires are a match. They are the ones I ran on the
Maverick for a couple of years.
As long as it drives as good as it does now, I'm going to leave it like it is.
