Don,
Those vids are always cool to see. I had seen them before, all but the last one anyway. That kart with the turbine engine has its own website.www.turbokart.com. It doesnot get updated that often but it is always cool to see.
The next one was "GSXR Kart" GSX-R 1000 crotch rocket motor on it. (stock I think)

I wish I could find a place like that around here.

Pretty cool stuff Don, That turbine powered kart sounds wicked. Those videos reminded me of a local welder/fabricator here. Years ago, he built his own Kart frame out of aluminum so that it was really light. Then he powered it with a KZ 1000 engine. He used to run it at the local drag strip. I can't remember what times it ran but it was stupid fast. He eventually crashed the thing and was badly injured as a result. He fully recovered. I'm not sure if he rebuilt the kart or not.

My old roomate was the service manager at the House of Corvettes from 75'-85'. At that time, he built a cart with the Honda 6 cylinder motorcycle engine. With zoomies, that thing sounded wicked. He could never get it to hook up.

Turbokart.com shows the turbine kart smokin a Ferrari in a q-mile test or two. I'm not talkin beat the Ferrari, I mean made it look like a PUNK...

Those are cool !
I have been trying to find the clip someone made at the black top track at Lone Oak Speedway we go to in Ozark but it's not on their web site anymore. They had put it on youtube also but I don't know how I would search for it. It showed just how smooth and fast that track is! The owners and some friends from down that way came to Montgomery this past weeknd to try out dirt for the first time and he was saying when they re-surface it they will be putting in some pretty good banking. We were all joking around calling it the soon to be "Little Bristol" (my fav. track!!) it's already fast and when they do bank it more it will be crazy fast! I love it! :D
Hey y'all, if I can find a kart to drive I will be racing in the annual Powder Puff Race at Alabama River Speedway in August, I did it last year and had the most fun I have ever had before in my life, it was great! Keep your fingers crossed for me! :D

Allright guys,
I will have to dig out the old camcorder that we have and video her on the dirt.

LMAO, are you going to be able to carry that big ole monster of a thing while us women get out there to show y'all how it's supposed to be done?
