Home made intake progress

I got some more done on this today. I got the plate made and a bunch of the port/smoothing/blending done.
The lower I got free off a 302 crown vic. I will use a pair of 260 carbs and it will be going on a 260.

At some stage I will clean up the adapter plate and whittle off all the un needed metal.

I saw your progress on the H__B site. Thought I'd wait til you posted here. I so admire your creative efforts on this manifold. It sure beats just dialing 1-800 and spending a lot of money. Even if it didn't work, and it sure looks like it will work well, just the enjoyment of taking a different path is worth a lot. Keep up the good work Willowbilly3.

I wish I had the money to dial 1-800, but then I would ... ah never mind.
This whole car has actually been built that old fashioned way, before there was the 1-800 cars. Every part of the car is adapted from some junkyard parts. I did buy a posies front spring and a set of sppedway rear hangers that I modified to work on the narrowed econoline front axle.
I am also getting well along with my power cowl steering. I will get some pictures of that today and post a different thread

I'm gonna be doing something similar. Last weekend I found a 66 mercedes at the pull a part that still had the dual carb set-up.
