After a few months of searching Ive found a rod that fits what Im after. 1961 Stude wagon with an sbc and 700r4. A couple things look a little botched but nothing that cant be fixed easily. It runs, drives and stops. Ill be bringing it home this weekend if I get all my ducks in a row.

Congrats on the find, LilD. Once you get it home you know we're gonna want to see pics of it.
btw,,,,does it have the sliding roof ??? :D :D

Studebaker.....Nice :D

For the new guys here, I'm a big Studebaker fan, and the more there are being driven, the better.

Oh yeah......That Chevy motor....just refer to it as a "McKinnon" motor. In 65 and 66 Studebaker used Chevy motors manufactured in Canada at the McKinnon foundry.

Thats great info. Thanks. Ill have to do some research on that. Think I could descise to make it look more the part?
Ill get pics on here as soon as I get it home.
Whats this about a sliding roof? Hmmmmmmmmm..................Ill let you know on that one later.

Man, why would anybody want a Studebaker? :D

1963-66 Studebaker Wagoneer had a rear sliding roof to accomodate larger loads in the back. Designed by the same guy that designed the Jeep Wagoneer.

Just Kidding! I have 2 Studebakers.

No pics yet. Wont have the car until at least Sunday evening if it happens. I knda have a selling war right now. A guy selling a 62 Galaxie that I went and looked at contacted me and is getting desperate. Hes fixed a couple things I had issues with and is willing to deliver ir for cheaper than what I can get the Stude for. And its also a running/driving/stopping car. I like the Stude as its different and has an updated drive train but the Galaxie is a cool car too.

Ill post some specs with pics when I get a chance. Its got less than typical rust belt rot. Nothing major that cant be patched up later on.
