just want every body opinion how many projects are too many to build a once because wright now i have two going and i am still waiting for the perfect rat to find me my El camino will probibly be just a nice 450-500 hp cruser car and i am building a drag car too so i dont have to run the El Camino down the track

im new here so this is a newbie opinion,but here it is.....i think that there is no number to put on it...my taste changes all the time and it goes from one car to the next.when you sell one is when you whis you had'nt.i know its not cool to let them sit when someone else will finish it but its good to always have a back up or not get burned out on one or two.....so.....for me,my wife says: quanity,not quality(l.o.l)

(P*S)-(W*$)/(T/A)*.05=PT

OK algebra junkies, P=number of Projects you have
S=Space available
W=Wife/girlfriend, understanding or not this is .5
$=$pare ca$h
T=spare Time
A=Age
PT=Project Total

By my calculations I am only to have 2.4 projects. Which is about right. My Hudson, my son's Willys, and a plan for a track t.

Damn, mine came out -1.3 . Does that mean I have to get rid of something?

-1.89 is what mine came out to be :(. Does that mean i have to get rid of the plymy and cant ever look at another one or what?

And im with bonehead, is that my age or the age of the car? That answer may change things. :D

There is NO such thang as too many projects!!!

That is true. Just never enough time to work on them all. I tell my son, "I have so many irons in the fire, I can't see the fire anymore."

Oh yeah, its your age in the formula.

4223, that is if you have the acreage, and the financial ability
and a full time crew to work for you, but i have 3, 2 waiting and 1 in progress, Tracy
oh by the way i used the SWAG method to come up with 4223

I think maybe two is to much, or for me it would be atleast, I would be so confused on keeping this and that strait that I would screw something up on one of them.
I would work on the one closest to being doen first then go to the next one.

which one?

Seems like I always want to work on the other one!

I have two, not counting the 2 daily drivers that cut in line and say "Me first!"

And one that I drive once in a while....

I haven't gathered data yet to plug into the formula, but I need to modify mine to include distance the shop is from the house - where would that go?

I used to have 10 deep stacked "potential" cars and never passed up anything with some (real or imagined) redeeming qualitys. I also never finnished anything. I have really made myself focus on getting this car built despite many setbacks. There are so many distractions out there, so many little orphans wanting me to bring them home.
However, if I had a big enough shop I might have 2 going at a time. So whenever there was a hold up on the one you could work on the other, never mind my daily can't be parked on the cement because of its incontinence.

Two reasons the formula doesn`t work for me. 1: I failed algebra (twice) 2:I have to save my pencil and paper just to figure out how much "junk" I have!:D:D

too many

My home projects(read that, honey-do lists) keep getting in the way of my car projects! And I can't seem to get them done either! How about the rest of you?......CR
