I need to see if someone can post some links to web sites about Pinstriping. I have everything I need except the brushes. I could go to a local shop and buy one or two (@ 20.00 a piece) but I would rather see if I can make some.

ANY HELP would be great...

Thanks guys

I watched a guy at Billetproof pinstriping some cars.........how they get those thin lines is a mystery to me. What an art. I know most of them seem to like those Mack brushes, in fact one of the pinstripers at BP has the user name MackOO or something similar. His work was top notch and I am going to take a trip to his place on the East Coast of Florida to have some licks put on my T.

sorry flatbroke i cant help ya. If i was stripping something i might as well use a turkey feather :O) it would be a shaky line for sure

Hey Flat, if you are interested, I have brushes and a few cans of One Shot I am looking to give to someone who is starting out. If you want, PM me your address, and I'll shoot them out to you.-MIKE;)

Brushes are nothing fancy, but I only used 1. I have NO artistic ability, and couldn't draw flies, so I quit!:p

Tiny,
I understand about the turkey feather...There is also good reason I never went in to the medical field...

Lost Angel,
I am deffinately interested, and that is well in my price range.

Stuff is all boxed and ready to go, just let me know. If it helps you out, you're welcome to it.-MIKE:D

hey flate,I do some pin striping when time permits and have made some brushes when i was yunger .
This may sound crazy but i made one from a fox squirles' tail hairs once and it actually worked out ok .I used my fly tieing kit and made it up.
But on a serious note i have used some differant brushes over the years and i really only use two now [a00 mack and a 000 excaliber]but i do flames more than any thing else anymore.
Would be nice to have a permanent airbrush and pinstrip thread on here!
Post us some pics when ya get some works up!

Hey Tom,
Sorry for taking soo long to get back to you.
Pinstriping is something I have always wanted to try but never did. The bad thing is that I don't have a steady hand at all. Reguardless: I'm still gonna try it and see what I can make happen.

Lost Angel:
A big thanks to you for "Paying it forward". I will post whatever I come up with. "Progress" or "Congress".......:D

Lost Angel,
Just got off the phone with "Reason 4", looks like I got your pacgage in today.
Man, that was fast.Looks like I will be playing when I get home this evening.

Can't say thanks enough for "Paying it Forward"

Hopefully I will have somevisuals to post this weekend.

why flate i aint got no steady hand but i sure can strip.
My problem is that i can'nt just do it for practice .i have to be doing it for real or nuthen at all. its kinda weird, but i do my best under pressure .[ i guess anyway?]
I tryed all the cheep ways out and 1 shot is the best to strip with that i have used so fare [havent got to try any hoc yet?]
The best advice i can give is to not just give up ,keep trying .and go ''slow'' pinstripping looks fast but is really ''slow''.
And to strip from left to right 'if your right handed,so you can see both sides as you strip! If you know what i mean?
I love airbrushing flames and then stripping around them !Its the most fun !

Funny you should mention the airbrush. I have practice with a 1 stage gun and a 2 stage gun.

As far as brushing it on, "I'M LEFT HANDED" That always puts a fun twist on everything in this "RIGHT HANDED WORLD"
