Here is the story. I was looking of a welding table on CL when I click on this one ad for a table. Off in the back ground see some thing that looks like an old truck, but really could not make it out. So I moved on and started looking for other things.

So during this time I’m also looking for a bed for a friend. I see this ad for a truck box and look at it. It was then that I noticed a rim and fender and knew it was per 50’s but not sure what it was. I also noticed the phone number was the same.

I called the guy and asked if he had an old truck and what was it and was it for sale. He gave me an address and an asking price, so I went to look. I look the truck over and of course the glass is all cracked but minimal rust, the tin is in better shape then the stuff I have been working with.

I asked the normal questions. Is there a title “yep”. Can I leave it there for a week so I can track down a trailer “yep””or you could just bring out a 6 volt battery some gas and drive it home”.

Of course you can guess what happened.

I'm heading back wednesday, I plan on driving it home. I just don't know what I'm going to do with it.

Well I had to pass on that table, was just to big for my hole in the wall. But he did have a 3'x8' one on rollers that I couldn't pass up.

I am kicking around what to do with the truck. Could go a couple ways.

Yup throw the tableS on the back and cruise on home, then drop a nice diesel in the truck and make a nice ratty hauler out of it!
