You more recent members probably don't know who Gastrick is. He was one of the first members of RRR and a finer man you could not find.

If you watch the YouTube the fellow states he is from south Florida, which makes it more likely it was his car.

Gastrick was a mainstay here at RRR until some family emergencies occurred. With all the issues he is/was facing regarding the health of loved ones, it's possible he lost his zest for the car hobby.

This Ute was was as innovative and more streetable in Gastrick's hands. I encourage any new members to look at his '34 Ford Coupe build thread to see his extreme craftsmanship.

Gastrick, we miss you here but hope the issues you face have resolved and you can find peace with whatever the result.

I think you're right.

I searched the RRR archives for a photo... but they're all gone.

I did find an old thread (July 2012) and clipped this piece of corroborating evidence...

I sold my Anglia to a friend of mine who agreed to do some work on my Mercury as part of the cost of the Anglia.

To agree further, he is definitely missed here. I wish him well and hope he returns someday...

His coupe with the hemi and aluminum interior is one of my all time favorites...hope all is well with Gas

Search "Gastrick Ute" , on Google images, and you can find several photos.

Car looks more interesting now, but not as streetable. I miss Gastrick too.

All that frilly hole punched stuff around the front sans hood is new and doesn't look like Gastrick's style at all!

I think you are right, Bob. He said he sold it and the main parts of the car look exactly like his.

I really miss Bill on here, and in person. We always looked forward to seeing him, his Dad, and Rod, his Brother, at Turkey Run every year, but he and they have been absent or hard to find for the past several years. I even looked Rod up on the net and called him at work about a year ago, and he said Bill is fine, but busy. I told him we all miss him and wish them well.

We will be at Turkey Run in less than two months, and I am going to make a point to try to see them. He, and his entire family are the nicest people on the earth, every one of them.

Don
