ID this axle.

This is on my 31 Chrysler rat, is it original or if not what is it and either way is it any good and can I get parts for it? New to this and not sure what I'm looking at, thx

As a wild a$$ guess, I'd say it looks like a typical Mopar axle of your year. Didn't know they came with juice brakes, though Chrysler was pretty advanced in some things like that. Probably real tuff to find parts for it.......

It looks very similar to a Model T axle only beefier.

Ok, guess it's original. Just found a pic on killbillet of a '30 axle thats the same, guy used it in a model t he's building. Thanks tho guys

if ya want COOL mopar based axles, look into the mid 30s "super wavy tube" axles. you can retro later (50s/early 60s) brakes onto em pretty easy and they're CHEAP! cuz nobody uses em.
