For Alaska that is. Going up for a week of halibut and salmon fishing and to be with a good buddy while he still can.

Hopefully I'll have some pictures of the big ones that didn't get away.

Have a great time. My brother used to drive to Alaska from Houston in his '65 Volvo 544 to work on a salmon fishing boat every summer & loved it up there! Can't wait to see the pictures!!!

I'm back!

Got back from Alaska today. Had a wondeful time. Alaska sure is beautiful. Stayed in Homer on the Kenai Peninsula for four days and fished for two. Caught our limit both days. Not real big ones, largest was ~60# mostly 15-30#ers. Salmon fishing wasn't very good. Can't wait to go back again.

Some pictures of the Cook Inlet shoreline.

Had a great time there. Caught our limit of Halibut both days we went fishing. Also some cod, a few skates and some Irish Lords, aka Mother in law fish because they are ugly and have a big mouth.

Saw lots of Moose, eagles, sea otters, whales and other wildlife especially at the Salty Dawg!

Salmon fishing wasn't so good most of the rivers have been closed for Kings because of poor return numbers. There were some feeder salmon (ones coming up from CA, OR, and WA) being caught in the Cook Inlet.

Can't wait to go back again!
