Jeep Willys 48-71 Drag link, need some sizes please.

I found a drag link that I think might work for me, with a couple modifications, and much cheaper than buying an F1/F100 unit and lengthening it.

Anyhow it is an Omix-ada 18041.01 part number for 48-71 Jeep Willys, does anyone know what size the pivot ball is on the Jeeps? I measured my conversion pitman arm at 1". and the stock steering arm has a .980 pivot ball, (probably was 1" at one point).

From what I have found online they say they are supposed to measure about .855 diameter.
Can someone confirm?

If so, I'm guessing using a 1" ball(F1, F100) in that would not be advised... =/
