It wasn't any warmer there than in MI.....:(

Couldn't believe that it was so cool there....it was 45 degrees in the mornings and never got above 62 for the first 3 days there....it was over 60 all last week in MI.... went up to Sedona on Sunday.....it was 59 there...
Monday it snowed in Flagstaff...8".... was planning a trip to the Grand Canyon and had to wait until Wed....it was 75 in Scotsdale and 33 in the Grand Canyon with 30mph winds....my finger froze to the camera button!!
I guess I picked the wrong time to visit....last time there for my dad's funeral it was just after Christmas in 06 and it was 82 degrees!

I never was actually on I-40..

If you went on I40 you passed my place and didn't stop! :(

Took the 101 to I-17 from just outside Scotsdale to 180 up to Canyon...took the slower scenic route..... but had i taken I-40 you bet I would have stopped..:D We flew into AZ unfortunately..... had I driven I would have looked closer at some of the tin I passed up.....driving my Rented Nissan Altima 4dr.....!!!

I knew darned well I'd catch heck about this....

McClintock and Southern in Tempe. You coulda' 'least waved as you went by.

I was into Mesa and Tempe.... had dinner at the ChartHouse and stopped for Pizza at the Organ Stop..... chart house was a bit pricey but the organ stop was kinda cool......just kind of passed thru Tempe....man the 101 and 202 are a neat feature.....and the fact that every road runs east west or north south..heck, I didn't even need a Tom Tom

Next time i travel you can bet I'll make sure that I give advance warning and make sure I can at least visit one or two of my "internet" friends......???

DJ3100 and 8Literbeater and their projects within a couple of miles and i have Sweet Tomatoes and Outback Steakhouse right across the street. Dinner would have been on me  Too late now... so there :D

Story of my life......

dollar short and a day late..... I will make sure to notify Y'all went I make my next trip.... Can't seem to get my wife to move where it's warmer...she wants us to retire to the North.....I said "can't get too much further north without moving to the Klondike".....she smiled and said "that would be nice".... Lord, please....when will these hot flashes end?????
