Ok guys... this was an upscale car & boat show. Sorry but I didn't have time to take pictures of the boats... they were beautiful as well but this is not a show for po boys... & err... I couldn't find the rat rod section!!! [ddd I really went to see my pals' Warner Brother's truck & dig the kool Indy open wheel racers!

This 1st picture reminded me of a go-kart with this incredible engine out back, musta been *some* fun to drive & scary as all get out!!!

As you can imagine... this scene really wasn't my bag & cars like this are not all that attractive to me but if I was ever gonna go that way... this is the only one that really turned me on! It was poetry in motion & a beautiful example (the picture really doesn't do it justice), but I'd be too afraid to drive it in H-town traffic so what's the point!?! Definitely a car for rich folk!!!

though you may not like the cars there or ever afford them, there are parts of each that are beautiful. Even if you simply find a gas pedal or a suspension piece sexy! Some of the older F1 and indy cars were awesome. even the cat allard. nice photo spread. [cl

I hear what you're saying, lots of posh cars, not really a hot rodders thing, but I've found that much of the engineering is hand made and often very innovative on some of these oldies, once you can get past the shine and glitter. And there are often some really cool ideas you can 'borrow'. [

That's for sure... the engines in most of the cars were works of art. I hate to even think about how much it would cost to restore one!!!
