Hello All, I am from Iowa and am into the 61 to 66 Ford Trucks. I found this site from a member of Slick 60's truck club who posted a link to here. I am wanting to build me what I call a rat rod and hope it fits the description of this Group. I have a 65 F-100 that is mostly stock and a 64 F-100 that has a 4 in chop top and is setting on a 84 Mercury Car frame. I am planning on building a 61 F-100 Uni Body pickup into what I call a rat rod. I hope to learn some here for what I want to do and hope I can give as much help as I get.................Kid

Don't worry about what this group thinks. I know this group. Build what you want, call it what you like, and drive the wheels off it.

My Rat is based on the underpinnings of a 63 Ford PU, but the body was junk. So I like the old Ford trucks. Sounds like you have a plan.

Hey Kid, what part of Iowa? I'm in Davenport. Also been working on my 63' Slick - check my build thread link. RRR is pretty laid back. I post on the FTE and Y-BlocksForever sites too, but hang my hat here mostly.

Sam_Fear is closing in on finishing up his '63 Ford, check out his "psuedo rat" build (check the link in his signature). Since you're close to DesMoines you can look up Oliver Bros. Garage, another member here with some nice stuff.
