I've never flown, not a fan of not being in control. Hope it works out for ya.

Only two times I ever flew was both on Southwest. Went with my youngest on a school trip to Washington DC. Flew up and back along with about 10 other parents and a bunch of kids. This was pre 9-11, so it wasn't too bad. No way I'd get on a plane now though, too much BS to go through.

I got bumped a couple of times, when I flew,a few years ago. I don"t know how they can get away with that kind of stuff. [ Sold more tickets than they have seats]

I used to fly a lot for business, but haven't flown in years. When Dan and I flew to Philadelphia a couple weekends ago to pick up that car, I was amazed with what they put you through.........everything out of your pockets, shoes off, stand in an Xray machine, patted down, etc. I understand the reasons, but it sure is a pain.

9 out 10 United flights I've been on we're late, delayed or rescheduled. Worst service ever, even worse than McDonald's. It's no wonder their employees are anything but happy. I'd be miserable too if I was working for a disgrace like United.
I've found Delta to provide much friendlier service with a way better track record. I believe they delayed me once and because they took care of me I didn't mind so much. Funny how the little things count.

When working the bike rallies, we would fly a lot.
The two the company used was Delta and United. The only one that ever gave us trouble was United. That company is the pits.

Most convenient way to get to our winter digs is by United . Don't know if our excellent service is because of the route or what . But we have no complaints at all . Couple of years ago we had pushed off from the gate and it was discovered a teen age girl was on the plane and the rest of her party was held up at the gate . The pilot had the plane returned to the gate to let her off and all the passengers clapped . The pilot stepped on the gas and we still got to our destination on time .

I fly 10+ times a year so I have the PRE boarding where I go through a different line with minimal screening. You just get used to all the procedures after a while. My airline preferences are Southwest because I have points and rarely have to buy a ticket, then Alaskan, American and Delta.
