I know there are some animal lovers on here, so I thought I would post an update on Lucky the cat. As you might remember, Dan was going to the shop one day and saw something run under the car in front of him at a traffic light. He realized it was a small kitten and he made the lady sit there while he retrieved the cat from under the wheel of the car. If the light would have changed the kitten would have been killed.
Long story short, we decided to keep it, although Dan has two other cats, and we named it "Lucky" because it sure was lucky not to have been killed. Anyway, lucky was about 8 weeks old at that time, and is now about 5 months old. Well, he is going to be one HUGE cat!!! He is already almost as big as Dan's 4 year old male cat and is already bigger than his female cat! Come to find out Lucky has part "Maine Coon" cat in him, characterized by a bushy tail that looks like a raccoon tail, hence the coon part of the breed name. They call these cats gentle giants, because they get to be 18-20 lbs. There is no doubt in my mind he is going to be big.
He is an absolutely terrific cat, very loving, and every afternoon when I get the quilt out to take a nap on the couch he climbs up and takes one with me. He loves the other cats, and he and Chewy, the male, are best buddies and are constantly wrestling and playing. I'm really glad we kept him, he is one funny cat and I laugh at the stuff he does all the time.
Here is a picture of him when we found him, and some pictures I took today.
