Any of you have license plate collection/accumulations? I have 50 or so, no particular direction. I think I started trying to get one from every state I went through. I pick up old ones in junk stores, find them on old cars, get e few from ebay. I had a guy off another board send me one from Hawaii a few years ago. I have Yukon gold miner, Wyoming bucking horse (some of my favorite) My coolest one is the Yukon Territory bear shaped one.
I like prewar ones the best right now.
If anyone needs a Wyoming (bucking horse) or S.D. Mt. Rushmore and wants to trade for something cool, let me know. I also have several Texas sets from the 60s that could be used for YOM antique or classic. I might be able to scrounge up some Montana plates too.

WB,
Yep... I collect 40's, 50's (especially tri-5's) & 60's & just bought some Hemisphere branded '65 Texas plates. I don't pay outrageous prices & am always on the lookout for a deal. I also collect the small bicycle plates that came in Honeycomb cereal or which ever 1 it was.

Cool. I have a 53 S.D. cereal plate because that's the year I was born. I also like the older ones. I have had a lot of the Texas plates and a couple sets of hemisfair. I also never pay much, especially on singles. I do some trading. I usually pack some nice SD ones with me when I travel. I traded into my 63 Yukon gold panner and my 75 NW Territory bear plate that way while coming through Canada. The Wyoming bucking horse plates are good trading stock too but hard to find in decent shape around here, all ranch vehicles that get pounded.

plates

This plate was in my new house when I moved in. I decided I needed to build a hot rod for it.

My Grandpa found around 15 in an old barn and gave them to me. They range from 1911 to 1934 and i have some 50's ones also.

I'm fighting the urge to start collecting them. I really like old license plates. I only have a couple though.

I used to collect lots of crap. Then I figured out what I really liked was finding the stuff, not hoarding it. I still like old knives, never part with one unless it's a gift, and license plates but I do some trading on them.
