no disrespect but

that thing is awful! ha ha Isn't it great that someone else's opinion doesn't have to match someone else's? I hop you have a lot of fun with it though!. Rob

looks like it's backwards on the frame, would be a lot more aerodynamic the other way around[S

Later:confused:

That's what I thought - those big scoops for fenders would have to be a speed killer. Put a BB in that and the fenders would get ripped off if the whole car didn't flip!

no i didn't buy it nor would i ever buy it, i just thought it was cool, as alot of people used to do stuff like this in the 50's. i do think the car is ugly too, but different. i go there tring to find a good deal on t stuff, as my t has a glass body for now.

At 70mph it would probably look like a funnycar explosion when the body goes flying into the air. Just hope the seatbelts aren't hooked to the body!....cr

I got nothing against being different but there's a fuzzy line somewhere between different and wrong lol

Historically speaking in the 50's and 60's there was a lot of folks trying to emulate European sports/race cars. Fiberglass in the auto industry was a new material. The Kaiser Darin was the first production glass fiber car made in America, not the Corvette as conventional wisdom tells us.

There were many hobbyists, not unlike ourselves using this new material and some trying to emulate the Europeans with steel and aluminum.

Not unlike what we try to do with factory bodies these guys tried to make their own bodies, some successful, others no so much.

This particular attempt was most likely done in that era, it appears to be an attempt at rear or mid engine design.

Is it beautiful?, not really, is it finished?, not hardly, does it speak to our to our hobby from the past?, most definitely. Would I want it?, no. Do I think it is worth the price?, no really. It may have some historical value to the local area, it may have some good engineering of the frame, I don't know.

But I say good try for the effort, time and resources that went into one persons dream. Not all dreams come true.
