If I understood right, A few years back the grandfather wanted to sell but for some reason didn't. He has now passed away and the grandkids got it and are trying to sell it. I think it's some where in Az.

Really curious about what a place like that goes for...What an inventory!

A few years ago there was an older gentleman about twenty minutes out of the Twin Cities with a yard for sale. He'd been in business since the 50's or 60's and was finally ready to sell. He probably had under 500 cars mostly in 'fair' condition and nothing newer than the mid 70's. Almost eveything out there was sunk in the mud up to the rockers. It was odd- it was like a time machine to 1977 even though I was last out there around 2003. I don't know what had been happening in that yard for the last 30 years...very strange.

A few days later I mentioned that I had been out there and the owner of my shop. He was intrigued and called on it as a potential business oppurtunity. Turns out the guy was asking something like 3 million dollars for the property and cars!!! In that part of the state that is outrageous!
I'm guessing the old fella' still remembered every car out there in his head being in the same shape it was when he dropped 'em where they now sit some 30-50 years later.

That place might still be for sale...
