Any cars / trucks use 16 x 6 rims stock ? I need a 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern. Can be a newer car as well, just want steelies.

I got a really good deal on a set of NOS WW 16 x 6 tires for my Binder project and now need to find rims.

'48 Chevy will be six lug. If you have a set of 6.00-16 tires you really don't want a 6" rim - too wide. They would be more suited to a 4.5" or so. Early Mopar products used a 16x4.5" wheel with a 5x4.5" bolt circle. That would be your best bet. Not too hard to find...

Never mind. I read your post wrong. I read it as you wanted 6 lug 16" wheels. My bad. Yes, Blue Eyed Devil is correct early Mopar has 16" wheels with 4.5 bolt pattern. I have a set on my Coupester, not too hard to find, but they are only about 4" wide.

Only asked again, in case there are others that used the same rim.

Seems that most cars around here older than 20 yrs have been eaten by the salt/rust. Having to find "just" an early Mopar will be a big challange.

You're not going to find a narrow 16" wheel less than 20 years old unless you come across a space saver spare with a 4.5" bolt circle. Not sure if there are any of those or not.

'49 Ford car will be a 15" rim. The IH wheels may be worth checking out, as some of them may have used a 16. Chevrolet never used a 4.5" bolt circle - The small lug pattern was used in '36-'37 and it was 4.25".

Just start looking. The early Mopar wheel aren't THAT hard to come by. I am in Ohio where rust & salt abound and I found a complete set WITH a spare for a decent price. Hit up older junkyards in your area - scour swap meets - talk to other rodders. These things help! There is more out there than the internet...
