We're really blessed with them here, there's three within thirty miles of my house. I have a small one on my farm, it's 24' x 16' and we broadcast the audio on 92.1 FM.

that would be neat info for those who make big/long distance cruises--plan a stop or 2 at drive-ins along the way[P
I miss the old twilite drive-in theater we had here. They closed it down about 20 years ago kind of hard for them to keep in business in michigan. If I win the Lotto I'd rebuild the twilite alot of kids around here don't even know what a drive-in theater is.
I guess I'm kind of spoiled, since the local drive in (Mahoning Valley / Lehighton) is only about a mile and a half down the road, and has been open my whole life.
Schankwielers north of Allentown is the oldest continually operated Drive In, in the country, and is only about 15 miles away.
Then there is Becky's Drive In in Berlinsville is only about 10 miles away. When I was younger Beckys was much more "adult" oriented (my one girlfriend used to love going there, but for some reason we never watched much of the movie ). For the last 10 or 15 years they have been back to family type movies, and it seems to have helped them survive, because they are usually full again on the weekends
Ron, why didn't you and Becky watch the movie?... I think back to all the drive-ins that were in my tiny state of Delaware and I remember the end coming as they all started showing Kung fu movies! You've seen one of them, you've seen em all![cl
