Looking for a little help to identify this

Any one out there have an idea where this trim piece might have come from?

It looks similar to an intake scoop for trunk mounted air conditionibg units like some ofthe 50's Cadillacs had. I'll work on it.

The Caddy scoops are smooth but are similar in shape and size. I'm at work right now but I'm petty sure I have pics of the Cadillac scoops on my hard drive at home.

Seriously it looks to be a mid 50s air intake from the top of the rear fender. As mentioned, probably for an early trunk mounted a/c. Caddy had them but they are smoother and more symetric.

I'm going to guess Chrysler, Desoto, maybe Packard.

Not Chrysler, theirs were oval and flush, like Buick portholes only longer.

The "different" sense of humor is very much part of my make up, that's why I had no problem busting on Bob about him being at the chariot races.

The Chrysler and Caddy scoops that WillowBilly suggested are somewhat close, but definetly not like what is pictured. To be honest I never noticed anything like the Chrysler and Caddy scoops....I learned something new today.

I appreciate the help trying to identify this part...and if the humor that is bouncing around makes some people smile then it's all worth it

Seriously, I consider the charoit race in Ben-Hur to be the best piece of cinimatogophy ever. Weren't no greenscreen then.

Yeah, I looked at a bunch of photos and didn't find any fender scoops yo match those.
