It'll be a week or so before we get the new project home but in the meantime I'm trying to get a head start on the learning curve for the rat rod. We have a good neighbor that is an excellent body man that might be able to chop the truck for us but more than likely it would be next winter. So thought that maybe someone here could steer us with info on potential shops where we might be able to take it. Also what it might cost for the job.

I plan on building the frame but have no experience with body work. Did find a nice step x step on a top chop on a 40' ford. They make it look easy but I'm sure that there is a lot of skill there.

TIA

Oh yeah, We are in the Indiana/Ohio area.

I think if you can build your own frame you probably can chop the top..That would save you $1000 to $1500 and you could say " I chopped it"...I don't know what year cab, but I chopped a 48 F1 5" and it was my first chop at age 62.. It was fun and I plan on chopping my A coupe next.. Go for it......
