I want to lower the back end of my 34 Dodge by making 3" lowering blocks. Is 3 inches too much? Are there problems associated with these blocks?

I think they'll work as long as you have new U-bolts made that are a little longer so you'll be safe. A better way is to put the leafs under the rear....CR

You also need to check and be sure the pinion angle is still good, sometimes the blocks change it.

It needs to compliment the front angle like +2 -2...

Thanks for the info guys.
The leafs are already under the rear.
I will add the blocks and check the pinioin angle.
It sits way too high right now so, if I get the results I want, I will probably also install 3" lowered spindles to get her down in the front.
