I have been trying since about 2005 to keep my junk I buy American. The EPA (and the American unions)and the greedy American businessman is making it more difficult everyday. The internet is a wonderful tool for finding made in the USA stuff. I am now wearing as we speak American made jeans (Pointer brand from Tenn) and Amercian made work boots (Chippewa from Carthege MO). I do have to say these products cost a bunch more than the cheap Chinese crap but I am proud to wear them.

above is another site very similar but Roger has a weekly column that he writes about the hows and whys of the whole predicament we are in. We can pull this one off but it is gonna be hard...I lost my job once due to the Japanese uncutting our company. No Toyotas Hondas KIA's or German stuff in my yard. This is the greatest country in the world...but we really gotta rethink how we comsume stuff and where it comes from.

No businessmen are more greedy than the Chinese.

I have an old Acura that was built in the Honda plant in Ohio. At the time it was made, it had more american-made parts than the average GM. Just sayin...if you want to buy American, got to do the research. Can't rely on the badge on the grill or name on the box anymore!

In my opinion, we have done this to ourselves. We want a lot of stuff that we really don't need, just want and we want it for pennies on the dollar. For that to happen, companies had to find someone to build this stuff that would work for ten cents an hour. We can't afford to build this stuff with the wages we are getting paid. We all want jobs that pay us a lot of money so we can have 4,000 sq ft houses with 3 car garages, 4 or 5 cars, 4 televisions, cell phones & iPads for our 10 year olds, and on and on and on . . .

Don't get me wrong, I'm in the thick of this as much as anybody. I just don't know how to get off this wheel. (or maybe I really don't want to )
