Made up brake line

I just purchased some brake line with the ends already made up. Question: Why does one of the inverted flare nuts have more threads on it then the other one?

Some wheel cylinders are shrouded a bit at the inlet. It is difficult to get a wrench on the fitting. The longer fitting creates better access to the hex portion.

I thought it was so you know which one is the front..... directional tubing? Maybe we should go with Bob's answer.

Well, DUH! That makes perfect sense. As a matter of fact the wheel cylinders on this rear end I'm using are shrouded and I was wondering about getting a wrench on the fitting.
