master cylinders

i am looking at buying my master cylinder and i see while looking through the parts catalog that they come in either 1" or 1 1/8" bore. i am using front drums off a 53-56 f100 and a s-10 rear with drums. what would be the best choice? i dont plan on using a booster.

with disc on front i was told by a real good brake man (pat anderson) to use a vega master cylinder on a light car like a t-bucket. it has a 3/4" bore for less peddle movement. i know some of them had drums all the way around. i don't believe i would go over the 1" bore.
