the thing i like best about clubs are the cruises
shows are ok but driving places is where its at
i am going to a meeting tonight for a club that has been around since 57
Counts of the Cobblestone Car Club rapid city sd
it might be fun
they have a deal where you take a disadvantaged kid to a car show etc.
id love to take a kid in the M43B1 to a show[cl

I've got a group of guys I go cruising with.

I'm not big on clubs, too many politics and weird divisiveness in local clubs. Just having a group of guys is a lot easier. :)

Best of luck Billy!

Clubs can be fun, or they can be a pain. I was in one a few years back, it had some great members that I'm still friends with, and a few other greedy folks that I don't care to run up on. It disbanded because of money being spent and unaccounted for. That seems to be a major problem with a lot of clubs, money and authority. Give some folks a little authority and it goes to their head, let them handle money and it goes in their pocket.

The club I associate with now I'm not a member, it's invitation only. But they are a great bunch of folks, and I'm friends with many of them and they put on some great cruise in's and shows. They may invite me to join one day, and they might not, doesn't matter to me. I just enjoy their company.

I have been a member of one club and a supporter of a few
The club I joined was fun.
I have seen clubs that were populated with drunk, wifebeater types
No thanks
If I decide this one is not fun
Nobody is holding a gun to my head to make me attend whatever they do.
But keep in mind that this is one of the oldest clubs in the united states.
And I would assume that they have gotten the hang of it by now

I am just trying to make some new friends in a new state.
We don't drink and we both hate bars.
We are atheist so churches are out
There are only so many ways to meet people who we would be interested in hanging out with

Billy - Sounds like fun. I'd have to agree that if the club was about since 1957 they must be ding something right.

Personally, I never join a Club that would have someone like me as a member.
;)

that is the main reason i never joined a car club.

met the president of the club
members cars range from $500,000 to rats and everything in between.
nice guy that seems like a regular joe

I kinda think it depends on where you live, as to how good it might be to be in a car club, nobody likes the "politics" of a car club, but somebody has to do the work to plan the shows cruises potlucks or whatever, otherwise who hires the stripers?
