Model A axel setup

Here is a quick front axel question. On a model A axel, where the bones meet the axel boss, are there shims or washers that go there, or are the bones close enough fit to the axel that nothing is needed? Im trying to put together my jig saw puzzle for the first time without any instructions

I have no shims in mine, just a fairly close fit.

The only time you need spacers is when you are using later bones with an early axle, you will have a 1/4" gap, and they make spacers to fix that problem, if it fits tight you are ok, just bolt it up and your good.

Hey thanks. Mine are close, just wanted to make sure there was not something like shims that I was missing.
