Riding with a friend hauling a load of scrap and a big metal box blows off on Interstate, lands right in the middle of the fast lane. I start trotting after it while he's backing up. I get about 50 feet from it and a girl in a newish Impala just nails it and it flies across the other lane right in front of me and into the ditch. Crap flies off her car and it geysered some clear fluid. She doesn't even lift off the gas, on down the road 80-85 mph. We get gathered back up and on down to the Sturgis exit about 8 miles, never saw a sign of her. I have to think it did $3000-$4000 damage, bumper cover, light, fender and what ever was spraying fluid, maybe a tire.

What the heck...how big was this "metal box"? Good thing you didn't find her....you had an unsecured load....LOL....

Oh, yeah, it would have been all my friends liability. The box was probably 18"x18"x24". It was all tied down but a strap must have came loose, the thing was down in the front of a gooseneck with a van right behind it and 2 foot sideboards. Air must have caught it just right.

My first thought was see was probably texting then I thought maybe drinking and driving.

I'm gonna guess she was oblivious to the fact that anything ever happened other then some guy was running down the highway.

I see tons of stupid people on the road every day. Well most are on the road, some of them are in the ditch on their lid.
