It depends on what year front axle you're using. I do know that 49 - 54 Chevy car front hubs (5 on 4 1/2") fit right on to 55 -59 Chev / GMC pickup front axles. As for rear axle, there are lots of choices depending on the bolt pattern and width you want for your application.

What vehicle are you talking about ? [S More input needed...

i found achev straight axle and rear axle at the junk yard assuming they 49 to 55 asuming correct axle in rear end and front hub i did not know chev did not 5 bolt hub till 71 found out front axle and rear takes a small chev wheel passenger car? i am trying to figure what years the front axle might be, also how they would go from 6 hole wheel small chev, what you have to do to do that and what year the donor car would have to be i do not know what year the front axle and the rearare. i do not what year the donor would be or was. what years did chev build a straight axle in pikup? what year did chev make small bolt pattern front hub and rear axles that would interchange? are there any books on this? i have to go with parts that i can find out about and replace if need be. thank you robertbandit:confused:
