I just got my at&t bill and it was 5 bucks more .The federal universal service fee had a rate increase starting on 7-1 2014.So if you see your phone and internet bill go up ,thats why.That $$ goes for those {free} phones

I would like a free phone, what do you have to do to get one? I don't have a job, of course I did work all my life to get my retirement and social security. I guess I should be happy to pay for phones for all of those who don't work. I mean how can they find a job without a free phone. Maybe we should buy them all a car so they can drive to their job interviews. Free credit card for gas since they don't work and only have enough government assistance money for cigarettes, beer and drugs.

I realize that not everyone fits into the above category but there are way to many who think they are entitled to free everything.

I for one am tired of paying out my a$$ for those who are sitting on theirs.

I am about ready to get rid of my land line and cable tv. The whole package (basic cable) with internet is now $170 a month. Just 3 years ago it was $99.

We have phone, cable and internet with one connection (Suddenlink) and it was $99 a month when we got it. Over the past five years it has worked it's way up to $168 a month so just recently my wife, on a whim, stopped by the cable office and said hey this is ridiculous and we are thinking about going to something else. Lo and behold they said they could "rebundle it" and take it down to $130 an month. Still not as cheap as it used to be but 38 bucks is 38 bucks.
I think it's like that everywhere with everything, they keep tightening the screws till ya squall and then back up and start again.
