My 1954 Chevrolet 3100

I just picked up this 3100 about a month ago in Kentucky.

305 with rebuilt top end from a '79 Monte Carlo
Edelbrock 1405 carb and intake
Long tube headers
700R4 transmission
'68 Nova subframe
Power steering and brakes
Tilt column out of an '88 Chevy truck
3.73 S-10 rear
Champion aluminum radiator
Chopped bed and flipped
Hand made running boards
Gas tank removed and new tank placed under bed
'54 GMC grill
'53 Chevy emblem

Since I bought it I have done the following...
Tuned carb
Replaced the windshield
Replaced belts
Cleaned and packed bearings
Sandblasted wheels and painted them Almond
New Kelly Explorer Plus radials in 205/70R15
Alignment
Raised the rear an inch or so
Centered steering wheel

Is that the right grill ? It looks different than the 54 I had ..I think mine had the mustache looking grill in it . I think .. but thats been about 28- 30 yrs ago my memory isnt like it used to be .

Good eye, Yank! The grill is from a '47-'54 GMC.

And I do agree with you, the Chevrolet grill did has a "mustachioed" appearance.

I prefer the looks of the GMC grill.

Big Window and 5 Window were on different series of trucks? The Advanced Design trucks (this body style) had 3-window or 5-window. I like the 3-window better but that's personal preference.
