My latest project... gates!

Like I didn't already have enough on my plate... I'm building some gates for my new place! Yep... I'll use any excuse to git my plasma, welder & grinder on! Here's the basic pieces. The top will be filled in with perforated metal & then a few embellishments! Also gonna have a lil roller on the bottom to keep it from ever sagging!

YOu got to keep those things caught up. We put a $ 100K irigation system on the farm and I told My wife I would like to get a new welder so that I could Repair the aluminum tubing with, Now a lincoln Sq wave tig is in the shop, and today I went in to pick out a new tool cabinet for my christmas present and she told me to buy the bigger one, It was only another $200. Last winter I did all the shop time building new kitchen cabinets. But she wants me to have the A roadster ready for the 4 th of july parade.

Here's the finished product... glad that's nearly over!!! Still have to put on a slider to keep it closed & be able to lock it when I choose but that won't take long!

Thanks, it's perforated steel sheet so I could still see out. I welded 1/4" tubing on the inside perimeter & screwed it on to that. That stuff is pretty hard to weld!
