LFE, I love to look in peoples shops. I have found there are about 3 different types, 1 super clean, 2 clutered but functional, 3 so full of junk you can't imagine how anyone could get any work done, or even find their tools. Saddly I fall into the last catgory. "cluttered" would not even start to cover the mess I like to work in.
I know it is a personality type situation. I'll see if I can find a picture to illistrate my point.

Rolling welding table we made out of wood because we had it,top is 24x36 3/8 steel its up 1" from wood for air circulation and fire controll. Soft chair goes with owners age. note fridge full of adult beverages on other unusable work bench , thats why we had to make rolling work bench. Big vise, tap and die set and indespensable urinal to get rid of adult beverages.Wife says only the dog can p*ss outside.

Don't feel bad LFE, I have a Drill Dr too and for the life of me I haven't been able to sharpen one bit so it works right. I even bought the step up model and it still doesn't work for me.

I like your chair, nice and comfy. I could probably get some zzzzzzzzzzzz's in there between jobs, that is if I could get the cats to move.:rolleyes::D

I just picked up one of those flame bar stools last week, your bench looks a lot like mine except I think mine is a little more cluttered, OK a lot more cluttered, but as soon as I can put some weight on my knee I plan on trying to do something about it.

yes we do worry but not only the chair we worry about every thing. Had a grinder induced fire while building my 47. I have a renter in the apt above my shop and she called me one night over an hour after we quit and said smoke alarm was going off and apt was filling with smoke. We got the fire out with minimal damage but it would have been a total loss if she was not living upstairs to sound the alarm. We always try to watch where sparks are going and to hang around for 15 min after we get done making sparks. Here is something to think about ,you probably dont have ins on your under const rod, beter check and see if its covered under your home owners. every ins co has diff rules. I went and got complete ins on the 47 after that event. Good observation hope this gives a hey I never thought of that moment to every one who reads thisLFE
