Had to build a step because the body is channeled 4"

That's what you get for listening to your wife. You should have done one of these......

When the car is all done and painted and she asked again why you didn't add a door your answer is simple and effective

Must confess a wee bit, After knee operation(right) and doing the left in a
couple of weeks the door does look a little better.
