I know this isn't hot rod related but I'm stumped. My wifes Chrysler mini van has developed a weird problem...the brake lights work fine along with the running lights. The leff turn signal doesn't work but when you turn on the right turn signal the left side starts blinking. Help before I have to tear into it in the morning......thanks

i had a dodge pick up that when I would push the turn lever to turn right it would flash right for a while than start flashing left. the mechinism that the turn signal lever went into was worn out. there was a recall on the 2500's but not the 1500's. that didnt make sence to me. so it might be worth checking out if your van has had any recalls for that problem. good luck.

Also check your ground wires. My dad had a Pontiac Sunbird a long time ago and when you hit the brakes the front turn signal lights would come on. It was a bad ground wire.

Always.... the basic's....

I agree sounds like a ground problem...... it is trying to find a ground anywhere it can and the easiest seems to be the other turn signal....
