does it have a vacuum pull of too?
usually they don't but I've seen both....I would set the electric choke when warmed up...after it's been started and turn until it's just open all the way...unless the spring is defective or weak, it should close when cold....if you set it cold, it might be wound too tight and not allowing it to open all the way when it heats up....if you loosen the cap and turn it will it open the choke all the way? If not something is binding up...go back over the linkages and see if something is hanging up....otherwise the thermostatic spring in there is not unwinding when warm....hope it helps
