need shorter spring hanger

I'm looking for a shorter spring hanger for the rear of the front spring on a 52 chevy truck.. Maybe from a car or different year truck. I want to get the spring eye as close to the frame as possible. Will be for lowering the front end. The one thats on the truck know is 3 inches away from the frame where the spring eye mounts. I'm thinking I could get 2 inches anyway. Then pull 3-4 leaves for another inch or two I hope. That will get me where I want for a daily driver rat.

Can you just drill some holes?

No not really. The piece on the truck is a cast or forged piece that has some bosses built out from it, so it is not flat on the sides. Good idea, but not able to do it.
