Saw this on craigs list today and made a deal for $300. I don't think I could have built it for that much. It has a 1 ton trolley and hoist but the frame could probably handle twice that much.

I'm going to paint it first and put it back together. Now I can pull my Stude's body off the frame.

You will be amazed how much you use that thing. We have a gantry crane that Dan put together for me after I hurt my arm lifting my Dodge truck cab. We use it every time we have something heavy to lift or paint. My Model A frame is hanging in it right now after getting painted the other night.

You did real good for $ 300.00

Years ago back in the '40's,my dad had built a A-frame out of 2 model A frames and sunk it into a cement pad on the side of the garage. I used it for every thing you could think of - pulling engines, lifting up the front end and rear end instead of using a jack, , pulling bodies off, hanging bike frames, car frames,M/C frames, doors, hoods fenders ect. for sand blasting and painting. But after my dad died, my brother cut it up and got rid of it, so when I bought my own place in Nev. there was a bunch of drill pipe in the back and I built a A-frame out of it and I still use the chain hoist that my dad had.

that looks like a deal to me, too! i doubt that you could buy the steel for that w/todays prices...and its already built....you'll def. be using it more that you realize now....

Very Nice !!!

Very nice score there, you will be amazed how much you will use that. '22
