so im at the stage of puting in a nice 1x1 tubing frame floor. i plan to run it to the edge of the stock floor and use the roll right at the door as my pinch point. ill weld my out frame to that so i will reskin the center.

i completely braced up the entire cab, multiple diagonal bars along with horizontal bars. my issue comes with the factory floor, on the edge of the floor next to the door, the factory ridges in the metal keep my 1x1's from sitting flush from front to back. flush to about .5" lower in the front.

my truck is a 42 ford, so it has the flat then toe kick up to the firewall. i plan the run my 1x1 up to the kickup then go and 1x1 that once i have my floor completely solid. a couple questions, should i just pull the doors put a final brace in the doorways then chop the floor out and be good? should i roll the cab to sit on the firewall with the floor facing out and cut it that way with the doors still on? i mean im just....stuck on how to have the cab in order to cut out the floor, frame is in progress of building so sitting on that is out. im just after how to have the cab in order to cut the floor

I would weld an X brace to both doors post. make sure you also weld it were the X is. Even with the door on the cab can still. The X brace would also help to keep the cab from racking.

Placing the cab on the firewall would make it easier to work on the floor. Just make sure you brace the cab so it does not fall on move when working on it. The last thing you want it to do is fall on the front of the roof an damage it.

sounds good to me. i will brace the doors then push it onto the firewall and get it stable then do the floor

here is my cab braced...think im missing anything? this is all my extra kind moreso useless 1x1 stock. i can get brand new cut pieces from work for the final project
