Welcome to RRR, projectF1rat. Nice looking start. Plenty of F1 builds going on to scavenge ideas from. Check out the builds section. Also, plenty of folks that'll give advice when asked. All that & none of the drama of other places.

welcome to the RRR! you've found a great site, with no drama, and good advice when needed.....your truck looks very familiar to me, as one of my projects now is a 52 ford f1 that was orig. green...check it out in the build threads under next project from the preacher...its fenderless-but either way those old fords are cool:cool:

Leave the fenders on! Might not be a popular opinion here, but fenderless late-model trucks look out of proportion and goofy as hell IMO...

i wouldn't run a late model truck w/o fenders either......a 1952 model however is NOT a late model.....if it has fat fenders and runnin boards its OLD!

Way cool I am also doing a rat truck. Yours is in way better shape then mine was. I see from the hole in the floor there is no trans. Is there a motor and trans that came with it? What are your ideas for the truck? lowering - top chop- open wheels? frame swap? Mine had no frame so i am going to put it on a mid 80's ranger with a 1950 inline flat 6. As for parts look into Dennis Carpenter restoration parts in Concord NC they will have all kinds of stuff that you may need they can even send you a catalog. they have pointed me to a few different places. If you need any info on parts ask here some one will know or be able to get you some info.

Welcome

Randy
