just dont know what bodie to put on the frame

Welcome to the RRR. You can do it for 3k if you are frugal and do most of it yourself. I have about that into my '42 Chevy and it is a great driver and built safe, but not finished.

Welcome to RRR, my advice would be to find an unfinished project someone else has started. They seem to be the cheapest way to go.

I'm thinking about the 3K mark myself. I already have the engine and tranny laying arround, bought the cab, title and frame for $850 and the rear end for $50. I'll do all the work myself but can imagine that if I keep track it still won't take long for everything to add up. My wheel and tire choices may kill my budget...
