Howdy fellas!!

I live in NW Indiana and am new to the hotrod/ratrod scene. I've been around cars for a good while, but this is my first foray into anything older. It's funny to me that custom programming a fuel injection setup or building a twin turbo LSX motor is no problem, but how confused I am with all of the terminology in this arena!

I'm planning a 41 Chevy truck build using a 350/T5/9"/custom frame. We'll see how it comes along as I am in the planning stage right now. I will be needing some helpful input from ya'll as the planning stage progresses.

Look forward to chatting with all of you guys!

I live in Lowell. You're about 2 1/2 hours from me.

I have some parts (twin turbos, 4 bolt block, Forged rotating assembly, BigStuff3 fuel injection controller) and hopefully the cab will be agreed upon tomorrow.

I'm really torn between IFS and a straight axle at the moment. I really want to build something that will handle and FLY!!! However, I really like that straight axle front end look. Decisions...

I'm gonna have some frame material delivered to the shop this week and start looking at things I guess.

I'll try to get one and post it up tomorrow. The cab is still on the truck currently, so I may have a bunch of parts soon.

Sam,

I travel extensively for work and find myself in Iowa quite frequently. I come right through Davenport almost weekly.

my vote would be for the straight axle

you cant beat the look of a straight axle . And lets face it , Looks are important.
