My name is Doug I'am a retired Machinest /welder been building bikes & hot rods 45 yrs, raised 5 kid's along the way. ex wife got everything about 10 yrs ago so... I build on a Tight Budget :( My everyday driver is a 47 ford on a 86 f150 4x4 chassis. with a 351w and 4 speed trans. I pull a 5th wheel trailer I built that has a kitchen, bed TV/vcr just big enough for me and my dog. it's set up so I can pull my Harley inside and travel. Been from B.C. to L.A. on the west coast a few times before the gas prices  grounded me. Iam building a 46 ford Roadster pickup with a removeable hard top. z'ed frame I built, 3' flatbed, suicide front end and a inline 6 Chevy 250 moter, 3 speed trans. it's set up with a recivier so I can tow my Harley. if the gas milage is what I hope it to be. I plan on traveling a cross the country this next year. I hope to finsh it this comming April/ May. I have cruised the hot rod web sites the past few years. I have posted a few times on each site, turned OFF by the bigmouths on each site. I missed donsrod when he left killbillt but found talk about him on HAMB, and was able to find this site.looks like a keeper.:)
